Needless to say there are millions of blogs over the web today. If blogging is more than just writing and it is a way of life for you then you need to create a proper impact on people who will see your blog.
Whatever it is that you are writing on your blog, make sure that your content is distinct from the rest of others. Never copy-paste content from sources over the net or otherwise. Plagiarism may not be punishable on a blog, but then it could cost you your reputation as a blogger. Always make sure that your content is original and is a reflection of your own reflection and thought. In case if you need to quote some one or some other article, then mention the sources and give them the due credits. If you upload pictures then make sure you quote the proper sources.
Make sure that whatever you are blogging about forms a unique content on its own and you are able to impact people and their thinking. There must be something that will make the readers come back to your blog and share their reflections and participate in discussion forums over your blog. This is called having an impact on the readers. Your blog need not be important as such, but whatever you write, it must hold to have some kind of impact on people that make them look at your blog more often. Ensure that you encourage healthy discussions and debates on your blog that promotes the essence of your blog. The impact will spring from the basic intention and purpose that made you write a blog in the first place.
