One of the obvious thing that you need to know before setting up a blog is knowing the meaning of 'blog'. So here's some definitions that I pulled from Google Dictionary.

Short for "Web log," a specialized site that allows an individual or group of individuals to share a running log of events and personal insights with online audiences.

Web LOG is a journal kept on the Internet. This journal is often updated daily and contains all information that the person maintaining the BLOG (the blogger) wishes to share with the world.

Like an online dairy. This can be about and be used for anything at all, it can be used for news, reviews, products etc for a business, organisation etc. This is great as it helps the user stay in touch with the website with new and up to date information.

A BLOG is a publication of personal thoughts, experiences, and web links. It is updated frequently and is usually a mixture of what is happening in a person's life and what is happening on the web or in the media

A blog (short for "Web Log") is basically a journal or personal diary that is available on the web. Blogs are typically updated daily using content management software that allows people with little or no technical background to update and maintain them.

Creating a blog (or web log) is not as difficult as one might think. Non-techie people will be pretty much confused when techie people talk about PHP, MySQL, FTP, PING, POST, etc. The non-techies will think we're talking about a new clothing brand or something

So, for the non-techies…I'll be giving you guys a simple step by step instructions on how to create a simple blog.

Step 1
Go to http://www.blogger.com and Click on 'CREATE YOUR BLOG NOW'

Step 2
Read all the instructions at the 'Create Account' page and follow all the instructions to the end. Don't rush. Take your own time and make sure you read and understand all the instructions given.

Step 3
Now, create a NEW POST in your blog and start writing. Once done, PUBLISH it.

Step 4
Pat yourself on the back and congratulate yourself. You are now a blogger :D!
