Spreading Risks With Insurance

October 22nd, 2008 |  Published in Uncategorized by Publix

In the old days before money was created, villagers would all work together rebuild a home or asset if it burned down to the grown. If any of the villagers did not cooperate, they in turn will not receive any help rebuilding their home if the their home was burned down. Around 3rd and 2nd centuries BC, the Babylonians and Chinese thought that by spreading all the goods they were carrying to several parts of the ship will generally reduce the risk of it all being lost if something unexpected were to happen. After a few hundred years, most merchants would send their goods together proportionally and pay a certain amount of fee just in case of storm or theft. Those fee paid are now known as insurance. Back then in the days, there were no insurance free quotes but the idea of insurance has sparked many interest amongst merchants and business owners.

Today, the insurance system has spread all over the world and almost every type of asset can be insured with a minimal fee. Here is a list of insurance plan that are currently available:

  • Health Insurance
  • Homeowner Insurance
  • Motorcycle Insurance (Looking for motorcycle insurance quotes?)
  • Car Insurance (Need car insurance quotes?)
  • Life Insurance
  • Small Business Insurance
  • Medical Insurance
  • Van Insurance

….. and many more! There is so much more insurance plans available. If I were to list it all in this post, you will be literally exhausted reading the entire list of insurance plans.

As with any other industry, insurance prices goes up and down frequently depending to the current global financial situation. With the recent worldwide recession, insurance rates have rocketed sky high! But this does not mean that it's not a good time to get an insurance. Insurance helps to spread the risks involved when handling or moving an asset. If you have a car or house, it is wise to insure it just in case something happens in the near future.
